Saturday Sales Tip

Reputation plays a large role in a salesperson’s personal success. Because word of mouth travels so quickly in this industry, a potential client can make the decision (as to whether or not they’d like to work with you) even before meeting you. You need to be successful to have a good reputation, but you also need to have a good reputation to be successful.

Here are a few main areas in sales that make or break a persons reputation:

  1. Following Up: In sales it’s all about the client, which means you’re not always working on your schedule but on theirs. Whether it is a client you’re currently serving or a lead that you need to touch base on; you need to follow up consistently.
  2. Response Rate: Sales involve a lot of time sensitive information and at times require a lot of quick decision-making. This means a quick response rate is even more important to an individuals success.
  3. Persistence: Whether it be converting a hot lead into a client or getting the right deal for an existing client salespeople need to be persistent in their efforts. You need to satisfy the needs of the clients and that requires a great deal of determination.
