Barry Cohen
Key Frustrations:
- His support staff and outside partners were not listening
- There was no accountability
- Out of control expenses
- Poor Time Management
How Goodfellow Coaching Helped:
- Barry has brought his support staff and outside partners into the coaching process with his Goodfellow Coaching program. Now they all have separate training calls that will help take his business in the right direction.
- The coach works weekly with Barry on accountability of tasks and helps him outline priorities for the following week.
- Systems have been created to help the office become more proactive in their positions and less reactive on a day to day basis.
- Goodfellow Coaching has helped Barry control his expenses by showing him how to hold them accountable to a return on investment by using an ROI sheet.
How does the #1 RE/MAX agent in Canada for 2004, 2006 & 2009 get there…and keep getting better?
Barry has been a top agent in the Toronto area for years, but he knew that he was spending too much money and wasn’t holding it accountable to a return. “Prior to joining Goodfellow Coaching, I was not time blocking. I was spending endless dollars without accountability. I allowed my support staff to run me, rather than lead my support staff.”
My support staff which is made up of an administrator, marketer and home openers are now buying into my vision; as well as, my outside partners and competitors that I have teamed up with. Everyone now has a better idea of what we need to do to get to the end goal. Before there was a voice, my voice, and either they believed me or they didn’t. I think that now with the entire office and outside partners being involved with the Goodfellow Coaching program, they not only have accountability, but they actually realized that this is what needs to be done in order to get to where we want to be.
Before I joined Goodfellow Coaching and Consulting, I was reactive to most things. I am now proactive and fully accountable to myself and Goodfellow Coaching. Basically the support staff and outside partners had no training whatsoever. The only training they had is when they were actually on the appointment on the fly with me, or learning on their own. So I think that the level of excellence has improved.
My support staff and outside partners are now more trained, and getting better. Sales have improved and it seems like the “peaks and valleys” have all but disappeared. Our goal for next year is to increase business by 20% while decreasing expenses by 22%.
“Goodfellow Coaching is teaching me that the dollars spent don’t equal or necessarily generate the dollars earned.”
Goodfellow Coaching is teaching me that the dollars spent don’t equal or necessarily generate the dollars earned, and quite often to satisfy your support staff and outside partners you’ll spend endless dollars to generate leads when in fact either we’re not getting the leads from where we’re spending, or are actually burning the leads because of lack of education or effort.
“Mostly… I knew what to do… I just needed someone I respected to hold me accountable to it.”
My coach often looks back at our previous discussions and says, I heard that before Barry, but not enough has changed. So we go back and we repair. So I basically don’t get away with my emotional feelings. I actually have to accomplish something. He also gives me a list of things that I need to do, and I have to be accountable to following that list, which is a very specific list. I think it’s the constant reminder that helps. We start off every discussion by my coach reminding me of what I was supposed to accomplish, and didn’t accomplish?
Why choose Goodfellow Coaching and Consulting over another coaching company?
What most people don’t know is that Goodfellow Coaching is a group of top producers from all over North America. Goodfellow Coaching provides a personal touch that is specifically designed for top producing agents. So rather than feeling like you’re just one person in a large group, being given general information, Goodfellow Coaching provides a much more intimate coaching experience that focuses on your personal business needs.
I think you should go to Goodfellow Coaching because they divide you up so you can work on your specific problems. You are not restricted to just one coach like most programs. Goodfellow Coaching has many specialty coaches is such areas as: Marketing, luxury, social media, wealth building etc. And once you hear those, you say, ah I got a problem there that I never realized
