When to Realistically Expect Results
We all would love to see the results from our efforts as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, results don’t come quickly or easily, they develop slowly over time from hard work. A big mistake people often make is becoming so impatient waiting that they abandon the project altogether, assuming their efforts have been wasted since there are no results yet.
Here’s what I’ve learned is the recipe to seeing results:
Give Yourself Time
If you’re the type that needs a timeline, give yourself 90 days. Day one being the very first day of your project, and day ninety being where you hope to be.
Nothing happens overnight, and if it does it’s probably not going to last. If you want real, long term results, you need to put the time in to get it.
Have Patience
We live in the era of instant gratification, meaning we want what we want and we want it now. It takes patience to not give up, even when you feel like you’re not getting anywhere.
Although the results are ultimately what you want, focus on how you’re going to get there over a 90 day period to avoid getting frustrated. Don’t worry about results until 90 days is up.
Consistency is Key
Consistency is the glue that holds any plan together. All too often when business gets busy, good habits are dropped. You will thank yourself later if you stick with it, and you will not only see results after 90 days but they will continue.
If you expect big results, then you must be patient, consistent, and give it time. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither are your big plans. Create a strategy plan with a 90 day timeline, and work at it every day. Even if progress seems slow, stay motivated knowing you are getting closer to your goal every day.
